Chinese tech giant Vivo has launched the iQoo Pro in its nation of origin.

The key features of the handset incorporate its waterdrop notched design, Super AMOLED display, triple rear cameras set up, and best in class internals including the new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset.

The Vivo iQoo Pro comes in both 4G and 5G variations. Justifiably, the two models share a similar design, highlights, and specifications. In any case, the 5G variation gets a dedicated 5G SIM slot, while the 4G model comes just with 4G LTE slot.

Vivo iQoo Pro: Design and display

The Vivo iQoo Pro offers a waterdrop notched display with an ultra-thin bottom bezel and gets 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

On the backside, the glass board with gleaming finish houses triple cameras and LED flashlight.

As far as the display, the device accompanies a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and an under-display fingerprint sensor for unlock.

Vivo iQoo Pro: Both rear and selfie camera setup

The Vivo iQoo Pro gets a trio of sensors including a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 13MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor.

On the front, the smartphone sports a 12MP (f/2.0) front-facing camera for selfies and video calling housed in the display cut-out.

Also, the main camera underpins 4K video recording at up to 60fps, and the front camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps.


Vivo iQoo Pro powered by new Snapdragon 855 Plus processor

The Vivo iQoo Pro is fueled by first-class Snapdragon 855 Plus (Octa-core) processor, combined with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 capacity.

The device runs Android Pie-based FuntouchOS 9.1 and offers a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

Moreover, it comes with every single standard sensor and recent connectivity options including dual nano-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, and a  headphone jack (3.5mm).

Vivo iQoo Pro: Pricing and availability details

The 4G variation of the Vivo iQoo Pro costs at CNY 3,198 for the 8GB/128GB model and CNY 3,498 for the 12GB/128GB variation.

While the 5G model starts at CNY 3,798 for 8GB/128GB model and goes up to CNY 4,098  for the top-end 12GB/128GB variation.

In China, the Vivo iQoo Pro (4G variation) is set to go at a sale starting August 29, and the 5G model will be available for anyone starting September 2. In the meantime, there is no official information about the cell phone's availability outside China right now.
