Redmi 8A launches
Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 8A in India, starting at Rs. 6,499.
The budget-friendly smartphone will be available for anyone starting September 29 via Flipkart and Mi.com.
The handset accompanies a waterdrop notched design, HD+ display, a strong 5,000mAh battery, and entry-level internals include a Snapdragon 439 processor.
Redmi 8A: Design and display
The Redmi 8A offers a customary waterdrop notched design with a sizeable bezel at the bottom. On the backside, the polycarbonate panel with scratch-resistant Aura Wave Grip configuration houses a single rear camera and LED flashlight.
The handset accompanies a 6.22-inch LCD display with an HD+ (720x1520 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and Gorilla Glass 5 for the screen protection.
The Redmi 8A is available in Midnight Black, Ocean Blue, and Sunset Red color options.
Redmi 8A comes with a single rear camera setup
The Redmi 8A gets a 12MP (f/1.8) single rear camera and an 8MP (f/2.0) front-facing shooter for selfies.
Further, the main camera bolsters photography features, for example, HDR, AI Portrait Mode, AI Scene Detection, and can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

It runs Android Pie-based MIUI 10 out of the box and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support (bundled with 10W charger in the box).
