Vivo S5 official launches
Chinese tech giant Vivo has, at last, launched the S5 smartphone in its nation of origin.
The key features of the handset incorporate its punch-hole design, 48MP quad rear camera, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and mid-level internals include a Snapdragon 712 processor.
The Vivo S5 will be available for sale in China starting November 22.
Vivo S5: Design and display
Vivo S5 highlights an edge-to-edge screen with a small display cut-out at the upper right corner and an ultra-slim bottom bezel gets a 91.8% screen-to-body ratio.
It houses a diamond-shaped formed quad-camera alongside an LED flashlight, on the backside.
The handset offers a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a Full-HD+ (1080x2400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure unlock.
Vivo S5 offers quad rear camera unit
The Vivo S5 packs with the quad rear camera includes a 48MP (f/1.8) main sensor, 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle sensor, 2MP (f/2.4) dedicated macro lens and another 5MP (f/2.4) depth lens.
For selfies and video calling, the smartphone likewise offers a 32MP (f/2.4) front-facing snapper.
In addition, the main camera is equipped for recording 4K videos at 30fps, while the selfie shooter bolsters 1080p videos at 30fps.
Vivo S5 gets a mid-level internals
Vivo S5 controlled by a Snapdragon 712 Octa-core processor and combined this chipset with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of memory under the hood.
The phone runs Android Pie-based FunTouch OS 9.2 out-of-the-box and packs a 4,100mAh battery with 22.5W Vivo's dual-engine fast charging innovation.
Ultimately, it sports all the connectivity options including support for dual nano-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, Type-C port, and an audio jack.
Vivo S5 gets: Pricing and availability option
Vivo S5 starts CNY 2,698 for 8GB/128GB variation and CNY 2,998 for the variation with 8GB/256GB design. In the meantime, there is no information about the availability outside of China.
