Oppo has launched the Reno 3 series smartphones – the Reno 3 and the Reno 3 Pro in China today.
As far as specifications concern, both Oppo Reno 3 and Oppo Reno 3 handsets come equipped with quad rear cameras and dual-mode 5G support. Further, Reno 3 which is the first phone powered by the MediaTek Dimension 1000 L5G SC and the Reno 3 Pro brings power from Snapdragon 765G.

Besides, Oppo has also launched a Pantone Edition of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro which is available in a Classic Blue color option at the priced CNY 4,199, the sale will go on January 10. Earlier this month Oppo has unveiled the Enco Free true wireless earbuds priced at CNY 699 and the sale will kick-off on January 31 onwards.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G: Design and display
The Reno 3 Pro offers a notch-less punch-hole design with edge to edge curved display, on the rear side, it houses quad cameras setup.
It sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, it also offers 800 nits of peak brightness including 402 PPI, 5000000: 1 contrast ratio, 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, and supports HDR10+. This handset packs with Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro packs with a quad rear camera
The quad rear camera setup Oppo Reno 3 Pro includes a 48MP (f/1.7) main camera with the Sony IMX586 sensor assisted by OIS and EIS. It has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 116-degrees FoV, a 13MP telephoto lens with the support of EIS and 5x hybrid zoom support and another 2MP (f/2.4) monochrome camera. Moreover, the main camera can shoot 1080p slo-mo videos @120fps
For selfies, there is a 32MP (f/2.4) shooter inside the punch-hole.
The Reno 3 Pro comes equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor for unlocking.
Reno 3 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset
Under the hood, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage.
Inside, the mobile runs ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 out-of-the-box and packs a 4,025mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 support.
Connectivity features include dual Nano-SIM, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, USB Type-C port, and supports multi-function NFC. The smartphone includes sensors are a compass, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, an accelerometer, a gravity sensor, a gyroscope, and a pedometer.

For selfies and video calling it has a 32MP front camera just like Reno 3 Pro.
Oppo Reno 3: Internals
The Oppo Reno 3 draws power from the Octa-core 7nm MediaTek processor with a 5G modem and paired with up to 12GB of built-in storage under the hood.
Out-of-the-box the handset runs with ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 and packs 4500mAh battery.
For connectivity, the Reno 3 5G gets dual Nano-SIM support and includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, and 4G. As far as sensors available in this phone are an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G and Reno 3 5G: price and sale date
In China, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro 5G priced at CNY 3,999 for the 8GB/128GB model, while the top-end 12GB/ 256GB configuration costs at CNY 4,499. The base model will go on sale starting December 31 while the top-end variant will be up for grabs January 10 onwards.
It is available in Misty White, Moon Night Black, Sunrise Impression, and Blue Starry Night shades.
