Tech giant Samsung has started revealing the One UI 2 update for the Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e smartphones in India.

This firmware in light of the latest Android 10 OS, brings a lot of new features and changes over the Android Pie-based One UI including a dark mode, full-screen gestures, one-hand mode, and accessibility enhancements.

In India, Samsung is right now revealing the One UI 2 update for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10+. The update file is around 2GB (contingent upon the model) and it brings all the below mentioned features, alongside the December Android security patch.

#1. Iconography, dark mode, and new titles

One UI 2 offers a dedicated dark mode you can schedule from sunset to sunrise or physically turned on for battery saving advantages.

With this new update, you get the upgraded image, text, and color modifications, refreshed iconography, new formats for titles and buttons, smoother looking animations, overhauled volume control buttons, and new Edge lighting animations, among different changes.

#2. Full-screen gestures and a one-handed mode are available

The update comes with gestures on Android 10 to blend UI 2.0. You can get to the home screen by swiping a single down from the bottom while a swipe up and hold gives you a multitasking menu. Similarly, a swipe-in from the right/left edge activates the gesture backward.

Another one-hand mode that can be activated by a swipe-down gesture from the center of the screen.

#3. Improved availability features and Digital Wellbeing

The One UI 2 update enhances custom audibility in settings of accessibility, such as the amplitude of ambient noise. For visual enhancement, you can customize color choices and adjust contrasting elements.

This new firmware also introduces you to digital wellbeing that helps you track your phone's usage, manage screen time, and enable focus mode to avoid interruptions.


#4. This update introduces some redesigned apps

The SmartThings panel is provided with media and devices, and a setting option for wireless power share is included as far as possible.

The Reminders application also received additional powered items, and the Camera app has been upgraded to pack less-usable camera modes in more categories.

There is also another screen recording highlight that lets you record the screen with background sound.
